Kathmandu: Dr Govinda KC, who has been advocating for medical education reforms, has demanded the dismissal of Health and Population Minister Mohan Bahadur Basnet. Dr KC has asked for Minister Basnet’s dismissal, claiming that he has been favoring the medical mafia since taking over the responsibility as the Health Minister.
Dr KC, in a press statement, has accused Minister Basnet of imposing restrictions on him recently. Dr. KC alleges that Minister Basnet has been making baseless and completely false accusations against him.
He said, “Recently, the statement of Health Minister Mohan Bahadur Basnet has drawn serious attention. I want to make it clear that the allegations against me are fabricated and entirely untrue.”
Dr KC has emphasized that Basnet does not have any knowledge or experience related to health. Dr KC has also accused the government of appointing an irresponsible, corrupt, and unqualified person as the Health Minister, contributing to the further deterioration of health in society. This move, according to him, is an act of a political and social offense.
