Three killed, 27 injured in bus-truck collision in Bara

The accident occurred when bus traveling from Kankadbitta, Jhapa, to Kathmandu, and truck from Hetauda, collided near the 3 Number Bridge in Amlekhgunj, Bara.

Kathmandu: Three people lost their lives, and 27 others were injured when a bus and a truck collided in Bara district on Wednesday. 

The accident occurred when bus bearing registration number Ba 3 Kha 2587, traveling from Kankadbitta, Jhapa, to Kathmandu, and truck (Na 7 Kha 7300) from Hetauda, collided near the 3 Number Bridge in Amlekhgunj, Bara. 

Among the casualties, the truck driver, 28-year-old Purna Gurung from Tanahun, the bus driver, 40-year-old Hari Shumsher from Hetauda, and another man lost their lives, according to SP Suresh Prasad Kafle of the District Police Office, Bara. 

The seriously injured individuals are undergoing treatment at Hetauda Hospital.
