Kathmandu: Two people were killed when a motorcycle and a bus collided at Jhagajholi Ratmata in Sindhuli on the BP highway.
According to the police, the bus (Bagmati Province 01-006 Kha 4593) collided with the motorcycle coming from the opposite direction as it traveled from Kathmandu towards Sindhuli. The bike rider died on the spot, while the pillion rider, a woman, succumbed to her injuries while being taken for treatment.
Police have stated that more details are yet to be provided. According to local reports, the bus has been set ablaze, leading to the blockage of the highway. As a result, hundreds of vehicles have become stranded on the road.
