Kathmandu: The death toll of the Setopahara car accident that occurred at Panighat of Chandragiri Municipality-4 this afternoon rises to five. Smarika Gautam, who was receiving treatment at Vayodha Hospital, died, according to Superintendent of Police, Kumodh Dhungel.
Other killed in the accident include Omkar Nidhi Tiwari, 76, and Kalpana Tiwari, 64, from Maitidevi and Dr Mahesh Kumar Gautam and four-year-old Priyansh Gautam from Lazimpat, Kathmandu. All four died on the spot. The vehicle (Pra3-01-23 Cha 6985) heading to Chitlang from Kathmandu fell some 500 meters off the road after it lost control.
Injured one in the accident Dr Sristi Tiwari, mother of six-year-old Smarika, is receiving treatment at Vayodha Hospital. The mishap occurred at 1:55 this afternoon.
