Man arrested with half kilogram of gold from TIA

Kathmandu: A person has been apprehended in the Customs area of Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) with half a kilogram of gold. Khagendra Darji, hailing from Jhapa, was taken into custody for possessing 499 grams of gold.

According to the Tribhuvan International Airport Customs Office, the individual, who arrived in Kathmandu via Doha, was caught with the gold during a routine inspection. Some of the recovered gold was found in a semi-solid state. 

Recently, a team from the Armed Police Force (APF) has been deployed in the TIA customs area, and this arrest is being hailed as a successful outcome following the mobilization of the APF team.
