Kathmandu: The “4th Laureates and Leaders for Children Summit: Development and Peace,” slated to take place in Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha, on March 11 and 12, has been postponed by the Lumbini Province government.

This decision was made during a recent Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Dilli Bahadur Chaudhary, citing ‘special reasons’ for the postponement.

Although a new date has yet to be announced, it is evident that the sudden change in the ruling coalition on Monday played a significant role in this decision.

Nine Nobel laureates and 18 distinguished foreign delegates, including heads of state and former prime ministers, had confirmed their participation.
