Kathmandu: An on-duty traffic police officer, who was critically injured after being hit by a bus in Koteshwar last week, died while undergoing treatment on Sunday.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police Jeevan Kumar Shrestha, information officer of Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, Sub Inspector Top Bahadur Khatri succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at the Thapathali-based Annapurna Neuro Hospital.
Khatri was hit by a Juneli Yatayat bus with registration number Pradesh 03-01-005 Kha 9755.
Police said the bus driver is already under police control, and the investigation is underway.
