Kathmandu: Police have arrested Former Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara, also the vice chairman of the ruling CPN (Maoist Center), from Kapilvastu on Monday in connection with the gold smuggling case.
Mahara was arrested as the high-level probe commission formed under the chairmanship of former judge Dilliraj Acharya to investigate gold smuggling recommended action against the former speaker.
