Four arrested with gold from TIA

Kathmandu: Police have arrested four people along with the gold brought by evading customs via the Tribhuvan International Airport.

The arrested ones were made public today. They are Saroj Koirala, 31, of Kerabari rural municipality-9 from Morang, Mohammad Inteyaz Alam, 24, of Katahariya municipality-6 from Rautahat, and Mohammad Arman, 21, of Surunga municipality-5 from Saptari and Jiaudin Miya, 37, of Khadak municipality-6 from Saptari.

The police said 25 grams of gold chain and 69.99 grams of unpurified gold were seized from Koirala and Alam. Similarly, Armaan and Miya were arrested along with 50 grams of gold chain, according to the Central News Room of Nepal Police Headquarters.

They were arrested from the parking lots of the international airport.(RSS)
