Kathmandu: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has appointed new Province Chiefs in Gandaki and Sudurpaschim Provinces.
As per the recommendation of the Cabinet, the President appointed Sita Poudel for Gandaki and Ganga Prasad Yadav for Sudurpaschim.
They will take the oath of office and secrecy today, according to a source at the President’s Office.
Earlier on Monday, President Bhandari, on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers, dismissed Gandaki Province Chief Amik Sherchan and Sudurpaschim Province Chief Sharmila Kumari Pant (Tripathi).
