Active Covid-19 cases cross 15,000-mark in Lumbini

Kathmandu: Covid-19 active cases in 12 districts of Lumbini Province have crossed the 15,000-mark. The province has 15,119 active infections as of Friday afternoon.

Of the total infected, 1,163 are in hospitals and 120 are in isolation centers. Likewise, 13,836 people are under home isolation.

A total of 48,063 people have been confirmed infected with the pandemic and 743 fatalities have been reported in the province so far.

Of those infected, 32,207 have recovered, which puts the recovery rate at 67 percent.

The highest number of 16,159 cases has been confirmed in Rupandehi. In Banke, the infection has been diagnosed in 11,858 people. Similarly, the infection has been found in 6,439 people in Dang.

Likewise, 2,849 people in Kapilvastu have been diagnosed with Covid-19.

The infection was confirmed on 1,746 people of the province on Thursday.
