Kathmandu: The Constitutional Council has recommended names for appointment to various constitutional bodies including the Public Service Commission (PSC) and the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA).
A meeting of the Council held in Baluwatar on Sunday recommended names to different constitutional bodies, said National Assembly Chairman Ganesh Timilsina.
According to him, the names recommended by the council will be made public shortly.
Leader of the main opposition Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and Speaker of the House of Representatives Agni Prasad Sapkota were not present at Sunday’s meeting.
The Constitutional Council Ordinance 2078 (First Amendment) recently issued by the government has been opposed by the NC and other parties.
