Kathmandu: The unity General Convention of Bibeksheel Sajha Party scheduled for the second week of June has been postponed owing to coronavirus pandemic.
During the unification between Bibeksheel Nepali Dal and Sajha Party on December 10, it was announced to hold the general convention of the unified party within six months.
However, the party’s central committee meeting on Saturday decided to postpone the convention as coronavirus cases are spreading rapidly, the party said in a statement on Sunday.
The meeting has also decided that a new date for the general convention will be fixed by the Central Committee after the situation normalizes.
