Kathmandu: Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli’s Press Advisor Surya Thapa and Chief Personal Secretary Indra Prasad Bhandari have contracted the coronavirus.
Press Advisor Thapa confirmed about the result of the PCR test adding that PM’s personal undersecretary Rupesh Acharya also tested positive for the virus.
Thapa and Bhandari had coronavirus infection prior to this as well.
On Friday, more than 100 persons’ swabs were collected including of Prime Minister Oli and officials of his secretariat.
Director of Epidemiology and Infectious Disease Control Division Dr Krishna Poudel said that PM Oli tested negative during the PCR test.
