Nurses have always been the backbone of the healthcare system and will keep on contributing a lot in the field in the days to come.

This year’s slogan on International Nurses Day—“Nurses: A Voice to Lead – A Vision for Future Healthcare”—specifies the importance of nurses in the health care system worldwide. They have proved themselves to be one of the crucial parts of healthcare during this ongoing pandemic, playing a diversified role in carrying out numerous responsibilities at their workplace.

I would like to genuinely urge every nurse to continue their efforts while also trying to keep yourself and your family safe. It is our foremost duty to serve patients. I would also request every one of you to help keep this country safe by not only treating the infected but also by preventing the spread of the infection. It can be ensured by making everyone around us follow the Covid protocols.

The responsibility that every nurse carries in their professional life is tremendous.

Last but not the least, on this occasion of International Nurses Day, the Nursing and Social Security Division and I would like to thank every nurse and other health officials for their tireless effort and service in this pandemic.

The responsibility that every nurse carries in their professional life is tremendous. Still, in this pandemic, that responsibility has become even more complex and risky, with many also getting infected by the virus. My heart and prayers go to all of you and for your well-being.
