Kathmandu: Youth Congress Nepal-USA has announced its seven-member working committee.
Suresh Darpan Pokharel from Maryland is the President while Anita Silwal from Kentucky is the Vice-President. Binod Poudel from California and Dr. Kabita Kharel from Kentucky is the Secretary and Treasurer respectively. The members of the committee include Dr. Sonisha Sharma from Oklahoma, Shankar Shrestha from Florida, and Kapil Bhatta from New York.
According to the press statement, the first meeting of the working committee dealt with the necessary steps to counter the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. It has launched a fundraiser through Facebook to provide oxygen concentrators to Nepal.
It also plans to organize an online workshop where health professionals working in the USA and specialists who’ve worked against the damage of the virus will share their experiences. It pledged everyone to contribute to its fund, all of which will be used to purchase oxygen concentrators for Nepal.
