Nepal reports 8,173 fresh Covid-19 cases and 246 deaths; 7,989 recover in the last 24 hours

Kathmandu: A  total of 8,173 new cases of Covid-19 have been reported in the past 24 hours in the country. This takes the total number of Covid-19 cases in the country so far to 480,527.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, during the period a total of 246 people died of Covid-19. With this, the number of people who have died of coronavirus has reached 5,657.

Meanwhile, the total recoveries have reached 360,413 after 7,989 recovered during the period.

Similarly, the Kathmandu Valley saw a total of 2,486 cases including 1,988 in Kathmandu district, 270 in Lalitpur and 228 in Bhaktapur district in the last 24 hours.

A total of 74,698 have recovered from the pandemic in 15 days.

May 4

The country recorded 7,660 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours in the highest single-day spike. A total of 55 people succumbed to coronavirus in the last 24 hours taking the death toll to 3,417 in Nepal. Likewise, 1,775 people recovered.

May 5

Nepal registered 8,659 cases of Covid-19 in yet another highest single-day spike as second wave infections rage across the country. A total of 58 people died of the pandemic in the last 24 hours taking the death tally to 3,475. A total of 1,993 people recovered

May 6

Nepal recorded 9,070 fresh coronavirus cases in yet another highest single-day spike. According to the ministry, 54 people lost their lives to coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours. Likewise, 2,707 recovered from the pandemic.

May 7

The country recorded an additional 9,196 new Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours in yet another record daily spike, taking the caseload to a total of 377,603. A total of 50 people died from the virus in the past 24 hours. Likewise, 2,905 people recovered during the period.

May 8

Nepal recorded 8,418 cases of Covid-19, including 8,297 from RT-PCR tests and 131 from antigen tests. A total of 53 people died from the virus in the past 24 hours. A total 2,905 recovered from the pandemic. During the period, 3,370 people recovered.

May 9

Nepal recorded 8,850 fresh coronavirus cases. Active cases have crossed the 88,000-mark. According to the ministry, 88 people lost their lives to coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours. Likewise, 4,022 people won their fight against the pandemic.

May 10

Nepal recorded 9,271 fresh cases in the highest single-day spike as Covid-19 cases. A total of 139 people lost their lives to coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours. Likewise, 4,007 people recovered during the period.

May 11

Nepal recorded 9,483 cases of Covid-19 from 20,596 RT-PCR tests and 720 antigen tests. A total of 225 people died from the virus in the past 24 hours. A total of 5,525 people recovered.

May 12

The country recorded an additional 9,305 new Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours in yet another record daily spike. A total of 168 people died from the virus in the past 24 hours. Likewise, 4,444 people recovered during the period.

May 13

A total of 8,960 new cases of Covid-19 have been reported in the past 24 hours in the country. There are 3,562 new cases in the Valley. During the period, 5,055 people recovered.

May 14

A total of 8,520 new cases of COVID-19 reported in the past 24 hours. A total of 6,135 people recovered.

May 15

The country has recorded an additional 8,167 new Covid-19 cases. Likewise, 5,455 recovered during the period.

Nepal recorded a total of 7,368 new cases of coronavirus infection as 6,648 persons returned home after complete health recovery.

Nepal recorded a total of 9,274 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours. Likewise, 5,767 persons returned home after recovery.

Nepal recorded 8,203 new cases as 6,891 persons recovered from the pandemic.
