Jawalakhel Group of Industries provides Rs 20 million to tackle Covid-19

Kathmandu: The Jawalakhel Group of Industries has provided Rs 20 million in the last two weeks for the purchase of medical supplies including oxygen cylinders, ventilators, and ICUs among others.

The assistance has been provided at the initiative of organizations in different provinces of the country to expand the health services of the community hospitals, the company said in a press statement.

A total of Rs 13.5 million has been provided to Dhulikhel Hospital for the expansion of the oxygen plant and ICU. Likewise, Ra 7.5 million has been supported for the efforts of community groups in different provinces of Nepal.

Similarly, Nepal Ventilator Services has been assisted to purchase high flow cannulas (non-invasive) ventilators and the Birgunj Metropolitan City has provided assistance for the operation of a temporary Covid Hospital in Birgunj, Parsa among others.

Chairman of Jawalakhel Group of Industries Vijay Kumar Sha said he is always ready to help the community in the time of need.

Executive Director of Jawalakhel Group of Industries Sashin Joshi stressed on the need for business houses to develop a feeling of cooperation without expectations during a national crisis.
