Covid-19 Nepal: 7,425 fresh cases and 185 fatalities reported; 7,135 recover

Kathmandu: The country on Monday recorded an additional 7,425 new Covid-19 cases, taking the caseload to a total of 520,461. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, samples of 19,846 people were tested through the PCR method while 607 samples were tested adopting the antigen method.

A total of 185 people died from the virus in the last 24 hours. So far, the death toll from the infection has hit 6,531, according to the Ministry.

Meanwhile, 7,135 recovered in the past 24 hours and the country has 115,447 active cases. The recovery rate stands at 76.6 percent.

Likewise, Kathmandu Valley recorded 2,785 fresh coronavirus cases as Kathmandu saw 1,806 cases, 681 in Lalitpur and Bhaktapur 298 cases in the last 24 hours. As of Monday, Kathmandu has 16,747 active cases. There are 7,153 active cases in Lalitpur and 4,880 in Bhaktapur.

The recovery rate in the country currently stands at 76.6 percent as of Saturday afternoon. A total of 100,028 people have recovered from the pandemic in the last 15 days.

May 9

Nepal recorded 8,850 fresh coronavirus cases. Active cases have crossed the 88,000-mark. According to the ministry, 88 people lost their lives to coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours. Likewise, 4,022 people won their fight against the pandemic.

May 10

Nepal recorded 9,271 fresh cases in the highest single-day spike as Covid-19 cases. A total of 139 people lost their lives to coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours. Likewise, 4,007 people recovered during the period.

May 11

Nepal recorded 9,483 cases of Covid-19 from 20,596 RT-PCR tests and 720 antigen tests. A total of 225 people died from the virus in the past 24 hours. A total of 5,525 people recovered.

The country recorded an additional 9,305 new Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours in yet another record daily spike. A total of 168 people died from the virus in the past 24 hours. Likewise, 4,444 people recovered during the period.

May 13

A total of 8,960 new cases of Covid-19 have been reported in the past 24 hours in the country. There are 3,562 new cases in the Valley. During the period, 5,055 people recovered.

A total of 8,520 new cases of COVID-19 reported in the past 24 hours. A total of 6,135 people recovered.

The country has recorded an additional 8,167 new Covid-19 cases. Likewise, 5,455 recovered during the period.

Nepal recorded a total of 7,368 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours. Likewise, 6,648 people recovered during the period.

The country witnessed a total of 9,247 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. In the past 24 hours, 5,767 patients recovered from the virus.

May 18

A total of 8,203 new cases of Covid-19 reported in the past 24 hours in the country. During the period a total of 6,891 people recovered.

May 19

A total of 8,173 new cases of Covid-19 reported in the past 24 hours in the country taking the total number of Covid-19 cases so far to 480,527. The total recoveries have reached 360,413 after 7,989 recovered during the period.

The country recorded an additional 8,305 new Covid-19 cases, taking the caseload to a total of 488,645. Likewise, 6,543 recovered in the past 24 hours.

The country recorded an additional 8,607 new Covid-19 cases, taking the caseload to a total of 497,052. Meanwhile, 7,890 recovered in the past 24 hours.

Nepal recorded 8,980 fresh coronavirus and 129 deaths in the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, 8,848 got recovered during the period.

Nepal recorded 7,914 fresh coronavirus and 193 deaths in the last 24 hours, the country’s Ministry of Health and Population stated. Moreover, 7,664 patients recovered in the last 24 hours.
