Belgium sends Covid-19 emergency aid to Nepal

Kathmandu: Belgium has decided to provide emergency assistance to Nepal to help the country tackle the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the emergency assistance is being provided following a request by Nepal through the European Mechanism for Civil Protection. The material consists of 1,000,000 surgical masks and 2,000 nasal oxygen catheters.

The FPS Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation is coordinating with Belgian First Aid and Support Team (B-FAST) as well as the FPS Public Health, the Defense, the FPS Interior and the FPS Strategy and Support for logistical and administrative support.

The Ministry has expressed its solidarity with the Nepalis facing a difficult phase of the pandemic.
