Everest Bank ties up with Shpun Remit for remittance service

Kathmandu: Everest Bank Limited has signed an agreement with the UK-based online money transfer operator Shpun Remit for remittance services from the UK to Nepal.

The agreement was jointly signed by Assistant General Manager of the Bank, Ashutosh Sharma, and MD of Shpun Remit Wahidollah Safi.

Shpun Remit is a registered online product and trading name for M A Fastmove Limited available on the web as well as mobile applications in both Android and IOS devices.

Any remitters in the UK registered with Shpun Remit will be able to send remittance to Nepal through Everest Remit. This partnership will add services of the bank in the UK and will provide added coverage for remittance customers of the bank, Everest Bank said in a statement.

The remittance received from Shpun Remit will be available for payment as bank deposit to any banks in Nepal in real time and as cash pick up from more than 9000 payout agents all over Nepal including 103 branches of the bank.
