Linkin Park’s ‘In the end’ becomes first nu-metal song to hit one billion streams on Spotify

Kathmandu: Linkin Park’s song “In the End” has become the first nu-metal song to cross one billion streams on Spotify, as noted by the Chart Data Twitter account.

The song, first released in 2000 as part of Linkin Park’s Hybrid Theory debut, crossed one billion views on YouTube in July last year.

The only other rock songs to meet the same level of success were Guns N’ Roses’ “November Rain,” The Cranberries’ “Zombie,” Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit” and Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody.”
