Second Covid-19 wave: 6,570 patients recover; 5,153 new cases and 108 deaths reported in last 24 hours

Kathmandu: As many as 6,570 people have recovered from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. With this, the total number of people recovered from Covid-19 has reached 504,530 in the country. The recovery rate has now climbed to 84.7 percent.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 5,153 new cases of Covid-19 were recorded across the nation during the same period. With this, the number of Covid-19 infected people has reached 595,364.

Meanwhile, 108 people died of Covid-19 in the past 24 hours, taking the death toll to 8,098 till date.

The latest Covid-19 cases were detected from 17,676 tests, including 12,056 RT-PCR and 5,611 antigen tests held in various laboratories in the country in the past 24 hours. Meanwhile, the total number of active cases stands at 82,736.
