Singapore to provide additional medical supplies to Nepal

Kathmandu: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Raghubir Mahaseth held a virtual meeting with Minister for Foreign Affairs of Singapore Vivian Balakrishnan on Thursday.

During the meeting, they discussed Nepal-Singapore relations as well as Covid-19 related issues, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Deputy Prime Minister Mahaseth thanked the Singapore Foreign Ministry, Temasek Foundation International, and its partners for providing much-needed medical equipment and supplies to Nepal to combat the second wave of Covid-19.


Singaporean Minister Balakrishnan expressed his government’s solidarity with Nepal in its fight against the pandemic.

The first batch of crucial medical supplies provided by Temasek Foundation International was received in Nepal on May 22. The second batch of medical supplies to be provided by the Singapore Foreign Ministry and Temasek Foundation International will arrive soon, said the Foreign Ministry in a statement.
