Kathmandu: The local administrations of the Kathmandu Valley–Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur districts–are mulling over the possibility of extending the ongoing prohibitory order by a week.

The ongoing prohibitory order is ending on June 21 midnight.

According to Kali Prasad Parajuli, chief district officer of Kathmandu, the ongoing prohibitory order will continue in the Valley by opening some sectors and changing some modalities.

The local administrations will ease the prohibitory order gradually as the infection may surge if the order is revoked at once, according to him. He further informed that the discussion on the modality of the prohibitory order with the stakeholders is ongoing.
