Nepal records 41 Covid-19 fatalities and 4,522 cases in the last 24 hours; 1,428 succumb to pandemic in 22 days

Kathmandu: The country has witnessed a total of 4,522 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Population stated on Tuesday.

Likewise, altogether 4,954 Covid-19 patients got full recovery during the period. The Ministry said that the recovery rate in Nepal is 90.2 percent.

According to the Ministry of Health, 41 people succumbed to the pandemic in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 8,813.

A total of 3,703 were diagnosed with the virus in PCR tests while 819 were confirmed positive in tests undertaken through the antigen method. Samples of 12,204 people were tested through the PCR method while 4,709 samples were tested adopting the antigen method.

Nepal currently has 52,648 active cases.

Nepal recorded 1,428 deaths in 22 days. A total of 69 people died on June 1, 101 on June 2, 75 on June 3, 101 on June 4, 68 on June 5, 99 on June 6, 92 on June 7, 108 on June 8, 81 on June 9, 59 on June 10, 67 on June 11, 61 on June 12, 46 on June 13, 53 June 14, 41 on June 15 and 52 on June 16, 39 on June 17, 44 on June 18, 34 on June 19, 51 on June 20, 46 on June 21 and 41 on June 22.
