Three police personnel injured in Rautahat clash

Kathmandu: At least three police personnel were injured after a clash erupted between two sides during a municipal assembly of Maulapur Municipality in Rautahat district on Thursday.

Rautahat Police Chief SP Bharat Shrestha said that three police constables have sustained injuries while they were trying to contain the clash between two sides that erupted while a fiscal budget was being presented. The injured police personnel have sustained injuries in their hands and head and have been taken to a local health facility for treatment.

The law enforcement agency lobbed 10 tear gas canisters to take the situation under control.
