Kathmandu: CPN-UML leader and National Assembly member Beduram Bhusal has registered a letter in the Federal Parliament Secretariat on Sunday requesting to be recognized as an independent lawmaker.

Bhusal, who was elected to National Assembly from the erstwhile Nepal Communist Party (NCP), registered the letter stating that he is unwilling to choose any political party.

As Bhusal is considered a prominent leader of the Madhav Nepal faction, his appeal is perceived to be meaningful.
