Covid-19 Nepal: Active cases drop to 35,310 as recovery rate reaches 93 percent

Kathmandu: The country has witnessed a total of 2,636 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Population stated on Tuesday.

Likewise, altogether 4,348 Covid-19 patients got full recovery during the period. The Ministry said that the recovery rate in Nepal is 93 percent.

According to the Ministry of Health, 20 people succumbed to the pandemic in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 9,071.

A total of 1,728 were diagnosed with the virus in PCR tests while 908 were confirmed positive in tests undertaken through the antigen method. Samples of 7,259 people were tested through the PCR method while 4,489 samples were tested adopting the antigen method.

Nepal currently has 35,310 active cases.
