Vehicular movement along Narayanghat-Muglin road disrupted

Kathmandu: Vehicular movement along the Narayanghat-Muglin road section has been disrupted from early morning today following the landslips in two different locations.

The landslides occurred at 5:30 this morning near Panchkilo and Charkilo of Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality-6 in Chitwan.

Police personnel have been mobilised to clear the debris and it could take two to three hours to resume the vehicular movement, the District Police Office, Chitwan, said.

Vehicular movement along the road was disrupted on Thursday as well after the landslides in the same places.

Similarly, Dumre-Bensisahar road section is also obstructed due to the landslide occurred from Thursday following the torrential rain.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Tanahun Yubraj Timilsina said that landslide has occurred at Andherikhola in Bhanu Municipality-1 from Thursday. “The debris was cleared on Thursday afternoon to resume the traffic but the road is again disrupted after the landslide,” DSP Timilsina said.

Meanwhile, two persons were injured after a landslide occurred at Bhanu Municipality-8.  They were traveling on foot along the landslide-hit area. Of the injured, condition of one is critical. Both the injured are receiving treatment in Bensisahar, Lamjung, according to the police.
