Covid-19 active cases drop to 25,828; recovery rate improves to 94.6 percent

Kathmandu: The country has witnessed a total of 2,634 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Population stated on Tuesday.

A total of 1,718 were diagnosed with the virus in PCR tests while 916 were confirmed positive in tests undertaken through the antigen method. Samples of 7,503 people were tested through the PCR method while 5,082 samples were tested adopting the antigen method.

Likewise, altogether 1,565 Covid-19 patients got full recovery during the period. The Ministry said that the recovery rate in Nepal is 94.6 percent.

According to the Ministry of Health, 15 people succumbed to the pandemic in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 9,263.
