Taskforce revived to troubleshoot intraparty feuds in UML

Kathmandu: The taskforce formed to troubleshoot the party’s internal disputes in the CPN-UML has been made active again.

The meeting of the taskforce has restarted to systematically advance the informal talks being held between the top and second-rung leaders of the party.

The taskforce meeting held on Monday has reviewed the informal talks held so far while discussing to resolve the intraparty feuds within the party itself, member of the taskforce Gokarna Bista said.

The next meeting of the task force is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon. 

Chairman Oli had directed the 23 lawmakers who had supported NC President Deuba for his PM candidacy, to withdraw their support till 5:00 pm today. 

The UML taskforce had remained dysfunctional after the HoR dissolution for the second time.  The task force members representing chairman KP Sharma Oli are Subas Nembang, Bishnu Poudel, Pradeep Gyawali, Shankar Pokharel and Bishnu Rimal.

Similarly, task force members from senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal’s side are Dr Bhim Rawal, Ghanshyam Bhusal, Surendra Pandey, Gokarna Bista, and Raghuji Pant.
