800,000 Vero Cell vaccines procured by Nepal arrive

Kathmandu: An aircraft of the Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has airlifted 800,000 Vero Cell vaccines purchased by Nepal.

A wide-body A330 aircraft landed at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) with the consignment of the vaccines on Friday morning.

Likewise, the aircraft will fly on July 15 for the second lot and arrive on July 16. Again, it will take off on July 22 and bring the third shipment on July 23.

So far, the country has received 5.048 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines. It aims to vaccinate 22 million people above 18. As of Thursday, 933,868 people have received the second dose and 2,611,807 people the first dose.
