Civil society movement protestors arrested from Singhadurbar

Kathmandu: Police on Sunday detained protesters representing the Brihat Nagarik Andolan, a civil society movement, from Singhadurbar south gate, Kathmandu. The protestors had staged a sit-in protest against the politicization and corruption in the education and health sectors of the country.

Among the detained were authors and activists Narayan Wagle and Khagendra Sangraula. 

Protestors, who were arrested as soon as they reached the venue at 11 am, are now held in custody at Nepal Police Club, Exhibition road.
