Kathmandu: The country has witnessed a total of 2,370 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Population stated on Monday.
According to the Ministry of Health, 1,690 were diagnosed with the virus in PCR tests while 680 were confirmed positive in the test undertaken through the antigen method. Samples of 7,689 people were tested through the PCR method while 3,589 samples were tested adopting the antigen method. The positivity rate stands at 20.45 percent.
Likewise, altogether 1,133 Covid-19 patients got full recovery during the period. The Ministry said that the recovery rate in Nepal is 94.5 percent.
According to the Ministry, 18 people succumbed to the pandemic in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 9,400. Nepal currently has 26,712 active cases.
