CPN (Maoist Center) to finalize names of ministers after discussing with Deuba

Kathmandu: The CPN (Maoist Center) has decided to finalize the names of the new ministers after holding discussions with Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba.

Speaking to reporters after a Standing Committee meeting of the party on Tuesday morning, Spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha said that the meeting decided to hold a discussion with Deuba regarding the formation of the Council of Ministers.

“Chairman Prachanda will discuss with Deuba on various issues necessary for running the government and move ahead with the formation of the Cabinet today,” Shrestha said. “It is necessary to decide what kind of Cabinet will be formed today at first and which parties will join the government.”

The Office of President is preparing to appoint Deuba as Prime Minister and organize a swearing-in ceremony within the deadline set by the Supreme Court. The apex on Tuesday had issued a mandamus order to the President to appoint Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba as the Prime Minister within 28 hours.
