2,445 new cases and 32 fatalities recorded in the last 24 hours; Covid-19 positivity rate at 21 percent

Kathmandu: The country has witnessed a total of 2,445 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Population stated on Monday.

According to the Ministry of Health, 1,642 were diagnosed with the virus in PCR tests while 803 were confirmed positive in the test undertaken through the antigen method. Samples of 7,833 people were tested through the PCR method while 3,831 samples were tested adopting the antigen method. The positivity rate stands at 20.96 percent.
Likewise, 1,258 Covid-19 patients got full recovery during the period.

According to the Ministry, 32 people succumbed to the pandemic in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 9,582.

Nepal currently has 25,837 active cases. Nepal’s Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 94.7 percent and case fatality at 1.5 percent.
