Kathmandu: The CPN-UML has decided to seek clarification from its lawmakers who voted in favor of the confidence motion of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.

At a Central Committee meeting of the party held at the Lalitpur-based Tulsilal Memorial Academy on Monday, UML Chairman KP Oli had proposed to ask clarification from 22 lawmakers.

The central members participating in the meeting, however, had demanded that action should be taken against the lawmakers directly. The meeting endorsed the proposal by Oli. The lawmakers have been asked to furnish clarification within 24 hours.

Central members from the Madhav Kumar Nepal faction of the party were absent at today’s meeting.
