Nepal registers 3,108 new Covid-19 cases and 25 fatalities; recovery rate at 94.6 percent and fatality rate at 1.5 percent

Kathmandu: A total of 3,108 new cases of Covid-19 were recorded in the country in the past 24 hours. This was detected in 8,836 RT-PCR and 4,299 antigen tests carried out during the same period.

This takes the total number of positive cases in the country to 670,953 confirmed through RT-PCR tests and another 50,664 through antigen tests.

Likewise, 1,595 people recovered in the reference period, with the total recoveries reaching 634,927. Nepal’s Covid-19 recovery rate is at 94.6 percent.

A total of 3,066 people recovered on July 3, 2,552 on July 4, 2,211 on July 5, 1,565 on July 6, 1,333 on July 7, 1,286 on July 8, 1,316 on July 9, 1,432 on July 10, 1,533 on July 11, 1,133 on July 12, 2,078 on July 13, 1,606 on July 14, 1,757 on July 15, 1,775 on July 16, 2,164 on July 17, 1,667 on July 18, 1,259 on July 19 and 1,595 on July 20.

Meanwhile, 25 people died of Covid-19 in the past 24 hours, taking the death toll to 9,607 as of today. The fatality rate is at 1.5 percent.

Nepal currently has 26,419 active cases.

Likewise, the total number of people vaccinated has reached 3,150,956 with the first dose and 1,158,130 with the second dose of different types of vaccines.
