Upendra Yadav picked JSPN Parliamentary Party leader

Kathmandu: Chairman Upendra Yadav has been picked Parliamentary Party leader of the Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal (JSPN). A meeting of the Parliamentary Party held at the party’s office in Singha Durbar on Saturday decided to that end.

JSPN leader Mohammad Istiyak Rai told Nepal Live Today that Yadav was unanimously elected to the post.

Federal Council Chairman Dr Baburam Bhattarai had proposed Yadav as Parliamentary Party leader. The proposal was seconded by Mahendra Raya Yadav. The meeting was attended by 21 lawmakers of the party.

The party selected Parliamentary Party leader after the Election Commission granted official status to the Yadav faction.
