Kathmandu: UN Women Nepal is organizing a nationwide competition to select pitches for a short video.

The pitches should focus on social norms that are holding back women, gender minorities, and excluded groups from equal participation in all areas of life, according to UN Women. The submissions can be made in text, audio or video formats.

The top five pitches will be selected and will get professional videography and storytelling support along with gadgets to turn their pitch into videos.

Application is open for ages between 18-29. Women, gender minorities, persons from excluded caste groups, persons with disabilities and persons living in rural areas of Nepal are highly encouraged to apply, the UN Women said.

All submissions must be sent through: CALL FOR A PITCH: ‘Changing Social Norms, One Step at a Time’ Video Competition and the deadline has been set till Sunday.
