Country to witness rainfall for a week: Meteorologists

Kathmandu: Most parts of the country will witness rainfall for a week as monsoon will become more active with the monsoon low-pressure trough reaches near Tarai region, said the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.

“Most of the parts of the country will witness rain for some days to come. However, the rain will not be continuing at the same place. It will shift from one place to another,” said meteorologist Samir Shrestha.

Today, some parts of Province 1 and Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim Province have received rainfall from scanty to moderate, with a change in the weather.

There are possibilities of heavy rain in some parts of Province 1 and 2 and Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim Province today night, said the Department.

The Kathmandu Valley today recorded a minimum temperature of 21.6 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 29.5 degrees Celsius.
Likewise, Jumla district recorded the lowest minimum temperature 15.5 degrees Celsius and Dipayal recorded the highest maximum 36.6 degrees Celsius in the last 24 hours.
