CPN-UML obstructs House for the second time on Sunday; next meeting on Tuesday

Kathmandu: The main opposition CPN-UML has yet again obstructed the House Session that started 15 minutes after the first session was adjourned by Speaker Agni Sapkota. Following the obstruction, Speaker Sapkota adjourned the session till Tuesday.

The CPN-UML lawmakers chanted slogans against the Speaker and obstructed the House Session for the second time today.

Earlier, Speaker Sapkota had held a discussion with lawmakers from the CPN-UML, following their continued obstruction of the House Session.

The main opposition has been protesting against Sapkota’s refusal to expel 14 lawmakers formerly from the CPN-UML who went on to join a new party chaired by Madhav Kumar Nepal. Following the continued obstruction, the Speaker has postponed the meeting for Tuesday.
