Kathmandu: The Supreme Court (SC) on Tuesday issued an interim order to the CPN-UML mentioning not to take any action against lawmakers Som Prasad Pandey and Sarada Devi Bhatta.

A joint bench of Justices Ishwor Khatiwada and Nahakul Subedi issued the order stating that action shouldn’t be taken against them as it hampers their rights to be associated with a political party.

The decision has paved the way for lawmakers to join CPN(Unified Socialist). Lawmakers Khatiwada and Subedi were not recognized by the Election Commission as the lawmakers of CPN (Unified Socialist) as they had not signed an application for registering a new party.
