1,558 new Covid-19 cases, 10 deaths in the past 24 hours

Kathmandu: The country has recorded 1,558 Covid-19 cases and 10 deaths from the coronavirus across the country in the past 24 hours.

The infection cases were from a total of 12,385 tests, according to the Ministry of Health and Population. The number of active infection cases has stood at 25,497. A total of 746,566 infected people have been free of the deadly virus with 1,351 in the past 24 hours. The recovery rate is 95.3 percent.

So far, 11,012 infected people have died in the country. The death toll from the infection is 371.2 per one million infection cases. Three hundred and eighty-six infected people have been admitted to intensive care units and 117 are on ventilator support.

Similarly, 23,950 have been getting recovery in home isolation, 1,547 in institutional isolation and 236 in quarantine facilities. On Friday, 60,159 people were vaccinated against the virus.

So far, 6,083,124 people have received the first dose of Covid-19 vaccines and 5,407,380 fully vaccinated against the infection.
