Kathmandu: The government has imported 4.4 million doses of Vero Cell vaccines from China.
The consignment arrived in the country through a wide-body aircraft of the Nepal Airlines Corporation on Friday, said Dr Roshan Pokharel, Secretary at the Ministry of Health and Population.
Of the total 6 million doses of the vaccine bought from the government of China, Nepal had already got 1.6 million doses.
With the shipment on Friday, a total of 17.7 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines from foreign countries arrived in the country.
