Kathmandu: The Ministry of Health and Population on Saturday said that Nepal recorded 953 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours.
In a regular update, the ministry said the new cases were diagnosed in 7,050 RT-PCR and 3,529 antigen tests carried out during the same period.
With the new cases, the Covid-19 caseload has reached 790,662 in PCR tests and 90,443 in antigen tests.
The Health Ministry added that 1,371 patients recovered in the last 24 hours, taking total recovered cases to 759,875. The recovery rate stands at 96.1 percent.
Likewise, six people succumbed to the pandemic. The new deaths have taken the Covid-19 death toll to 11,087.
Nepal currently has 19,700 active cases, the ministry added.
