Seven succumb to Covid-19 in the last 24 hours; 1,282 fresh cases recorded

Kathmandu: The country has reported 1,282 new cases of coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Population said on Monday.

Kathmandu district recorded 285 new cases while 66 and 43 new cases were recorded in Lalitpur and Bhaktapur districts respectively.

Among the new cases, 9,75 were confirmed from 12,081 RT-PCR tests while 307 were known from 3,407 antigen tests carried out in the last 24 hours across the country.

Similarly, a total of 1,262 infected got recovered in the same period. With this, the number of active cases in the country is 18,848. Of them, 17,535 are in home isolation and 1,312 patients are in institutional isolation.

Likewise, a total of 385 Covid-19 patients are undergoing treatment in ICUs of various health facilities while 125 are with ventilator support.

A total of seven people succumbed to the pandemic in the last 24 hours taking the death toll to 11,103.
