Kathmandu: The Ministry of Health and Population on Saturday reported 867 new Covid-19 cases and nine fatalities in the last 24 hours.
The new cases were confirmed from 5,598 RT-PCR and 2,621 antigen tests.
With the new cases, the Covid-19 caseload in Nepal has reached 796,618 in PCR and 91,929 in antigen tests.
Likewise, 1,123 recovered from the pandemic in the last 24 hours taking the total recovered cases to 767,819. The recovery rate stands at 96.4 percent as of today.
A total of nine people succumbed to the pandemic. The new deaths have taken the death toll to 11,157, the Health Ministry said in a regular update.
Nepal currently has 17,642 active Covid-19 cases.
