Nepal’s Covid-19 recovery rate improves to 96.5 percent; 1,030 new cases and 10 deaths registered

Kathmandu: Nepal’s Ministry of Health and Population on Monday said that the country recorded 1,030 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours.

A total of 10,874 tests including 5,893 RT-PCR tests and 4,981 antigen tests were done during the period.

With these new cases, the Covid-19 caseload has reached 798,004 in PCR tests and 92,251 in antigen so far.

Likewise, altogether 1,000 Covid-19 patients got full recovery during the period. A total of 770,224 people have recovered from the pandemic so far. Nepal’s Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 96.5 percent and case fatality at 1.4 percent.

According to the Ministry of Health, 10 people succumbed to the pandemic in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 11,174.
